Hi guys! Months are passing so fast and in few more days unnoticeably Christmas Day is happening. It's true, despite of so many things happened this year, we never lose hope that it will all work out soonest and normal routine like before will return after this pandemic and all. With hope and faith of many Filipinos, the longest celebration of Christmas stayed in our hearts!

Hearing Christmas songs making me happy. This past few years, I've seen and witnessed personally the SM Christmas Lighting, what a magical feeling.

Hi Chingu! Kdrama addict what's on your list? 

I have missed writing kdrama review and I'm so happy that I'm sort of doing it today, actually I'm excited for weekends and it's Friday today. As you know, airing days of Start Up is Saturday and Sunday. Yehey! New episode, I'm waiting for episode 7.

START UP, the story flow is related to business management and IT industry. Let me tell you about the main characters.

DALMI - She grew up with her grandmother and separated with her sister because their parents got divorced and she chose to stay with her father. Her father's business did not go well. Unfortunately, accident happened when it about to success.

After the divorced of their parents, Dalmi was left without any friend as her sister (Won In Jae) is her only friend. Her grandmother made an scheme to make her happy about some kid wanting to be her friend through letters. What happened is that the name used from the those letters is real name from newspaper then the one writing it is the teenager whom her grandmother provided a shelter. Dalmi is in love with Nam Do Sanas she grew up, she believed it was from him but it's actually Han Ji Pyeong (he felt indebted to Dalmi's  grandma) who wrote those letters.

Dalmi is high school graduate, she's been working part time jobs until one day she dream of having her own business to prove her self. To make her mother and sister believe that she never regret her decision on staying with her father.

Dalmi's mother remarried a rich man and her sister grew up with a good background. 

Her, trying to pretend that everything went well made the story very exciting.

DO SAN - a smart kid who won a math award. When Dalmi's grandma and Ji Pyeong writing a letter, they used his name which happened they found on the newspaper. 

He became a developer, but their start up is a mess as there is no investor. Their goal is amazing, the application is worth investing, but their Start Up has no good business plan for profit. 

Dalmi has decided to find Do San to seek help hoping that he might be a help for her. 

Dalmi found Do San's name through online he posted for sale. Then on other side of the story, Ji Pyeong tried his ways too to find Do San. Do San pretended to be the person who used to sent Dalmi a letters. He helped Dalmi to save face on event after Dalmi made a promise to her sister to bring him. 

Do San fell in love with Dalmi for real. The thing is there are lot of lies. He is a decent guy who is also soft hearted.

JI PYEONG - he is intelligent but he came from an orphanage. He has no one and no where to go when he really need a help. He got certificate as prize feom competition, but cannot even used it as he was a minor way back when it happened then he met Dalmi's grandma. The grandma showed him humanity and took care of him when he has nothing. He left and became successful. After years, he met that grandma again and he really want to return the favor. That's when he helped Dalmi met Do San, of course they kept on lying. ( I hope they can be honest already)

Ji Pyeong is Sandbox director.

Second lead syndrome, that's what many viewers feel towards Ji Pyeong. He is daebak, he has a very good life story on this drama. His dimples too 😅 so cute.

IN JAE - Dalmi's sister. She gain mostly of what she has because of his stepfather. She also want to to prove her self that she's good without any business connection.

Every additional episode, the story is becoming more and more exciting. The story is not focus on main characters only. Supporting characters had their own interesting stories to tell in this drama which makes it more twisted.  My curiosity and excitement is mixing as I want to watch the next episode already to know the what's and why's while watching it.

It is a mixed of drama, family, romance and comedy. You must watch this and know yourself how good the story is.

The opening of Jollibee Singapore’s inaugural cloud kitchen comes as demand for its 

food delivery continues to grow significantly. The business contribution of Jollibee 

Singapore’s Delivery has more than quadrupled compared to last year – from 10% in 

2019 to 45% in 2020.“

The Jollibee Tampines Cloud Kitchen employs the same heightened safety standards that can be seen in all Jollibee Singapore outlets. The crew wear masks at all times and follow physical distancing and stringent food safety protocols.

Remaining resilient amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI)—the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the country—is assuring the public of unhampered operations despite challenges brought about by the sudden return to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine in so me parts of Luzon. 

Since the company is engaged in the business of manufactu¬ring and distribution of basic commodities, PCPPI is tasked to continuously operate its manufacturing plants for products such as water, juices, hydration drinks, and other carbonated beverages. 

“We are seeing one of the longest community quarantines in the world. Our company is continuously functioning in a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) environment and we are always anticipating regulatory and socio-economic changes to be able to minimize the impact of risks and decide quickly if and when necessary,” PCPPI president and CEO Frederick D. Ong.

In sustaining its operations amid uncertain times, PCPPI established an Emergency Response Center and created an Emergency Response Team to serve as the company’s first line of defense should there be a disaster or crisis situation. The company also reinforced its Emergency Response Procedure to institutionalize the steps to be undertaken to mitigate the adverse effects of natural occurrences that companies and humans have no control over, such as the coronavirus.

“This Emergency Response plan is that which allows us to continue moving forward. As we are starting to recover, we rely heavily on our response mechanism to address the pandemic and normalize the business. We are ready to effectively tackle the challenges posed by the current socio-economic environment” explained Ong. 

“PCPPI is now operating via new ways of working with systems we never thought possible before. We are adjusting quickly to the changing needs of our people, customers, and other stakeholders while managing financial and operatio¬nal difficulties,” Ong said.

As early as January, even before community quarantines were enforced in different areas in the country, PCPPI already ordered thermal scanners, face masks, and alcohols for its employees’ supplies. In February, the company has also installed foot baths in its offices nationwide. In the midst of the lockdowns, PCPPI plants organized donations to various health facilities, hospitals, checkpoints, and LGUs across the country. Part of the company’s disaster response also focuses on the needs of the 

“PCPPI’s resiliency and recovery plan also involves sustaining the livelihood of families and communities we are at in times of emergencies and disasters. Among the programs we initiated is providing full support to our Entrepreneurial Distribution System (EDS) Operators and wholesaler partners to ensure that our products reach the small and medium-size enterprises and sari-sari stores even during community quarantine. We also implemented phone selling or “telsells” to create additional avenues to reach our distributors and consumers who cannot go out of their homes,” said Ong.

“Now that we’re living in uncertain times, and as the rest of the world begins to shift to the new normal, having a strong, efficient, and holistic disaster preparedness, management, and recovery plan becomes all the more relevant. We remain committed in helping build a more resilient country through our products and best practices,” said Ong.

A look back at how some Filipinos proved to be the guiding light in the time of COVID and what’s next for a community rebuilding the society through helping each other.

The last few months were indeed challenging not only for us here in the Philippines, but globally. As we continue to face the COVID-19 pandemic and its effects that completely altered the normalcy we used to know, almost everyone feels that they are in the dark and without hope. SkinWhite, a pioneering whitening brand stood out by bringing light not just to whiten skin but to bring the light of hope to everyone through its #BeTheLight campaign. This envisioned to champion togetherness with everyone, either by group or individual, to be the beacons of light in these trying times.

#BeTheLight campaign supported the good causes of several individuals and organizations through donation. Selected individuals were Marielle Solomon of Siargao Community Kitchen which  aided more than 4,000 families in their community and neighboring barangays, Barangay Holy Spirit PWD Association’s president Sarah dela Rosa whose efforts were recognized even outside their area, Pia Alviola of Project Love who was able to donate more than 2,000 protective equipment to frontliners, Melissa Olit of Aiza’s Community Kitchen reached more than 15,000 beneficiaries, and Angela Lapinosa’s team for RiceAboveCovid, were able to provide more than 300 help packages. 

SkinWhite also reached out to several organizations to work together to #BeTheLight to more people across the country. These organizations were Save San Roque Alliance, an organization that provided meals to families in Sitio San Roque, North Triangle, Quezon City, #SilogForACause, a group who prepared silog meals for frontliners and volunteers, Tulong Kabataan Volunteer Network, bikers turned donors of Life Cycles PH, FoodTray2Go, Act as One PH, Juan Spark Youth Leaders, and Project PEARLS (Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, and Smiles) who have put smiles on children’s faces amidst the pandemic and the discomfort caused by the enforced quarantine. SkinWhite amplified their efforts by sharing their stories nationwide through social media with the hope that many people will be inspired to join in their causes. 

Aside from individuals and organizations, the light also transcended to SkinWhite’s trade partners. The brand’s display rental fees were converted to augment the needs of each of the participating store’s dedicated frontliner employees. Relief packages including essential goods and SkinWhite products were prepared and given to them. Through this, SkinWhite and its trade partners were the light that gave these hardworking frontliner employees more encouragement and motivation during these hard times.
