I am fond of art, its really good to see an artwork which is full of meaning. Arts which can brighten us as well from something. Art is not just about colors, it has a story which can tell the person looking at it! Yesterday, I witnessed the awarding at SM City San Lazaro Mural Spray Painting in its partnership with Davies and NCCA.

The program started with an energizing music by DJ Angel
This is an intercollegiate competition where participants are architecture and fine arts students. The design limitation of their art is "Glow your City". Their design should capture Manila bright lights. Each team received P1,500 for their art creation, the basic tools are already provided.

There are top 4 group of participants in the event and one of them announced as the winner. I won't tell yet which school got that prize, let me tell you first which schools they came from.

1. Pamantasang Lungsod ng Maynila
2. Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology

3. UP Diliman
4. Far Eastern University

Each group introduced in the stage and say something about their mural painting on how they created it and their different concepts as they really came up with different ideas. You can see guys, they have their own way to interpret the theme and limitation of their design.

To share you who won the contest, it's the group which the representative tells their concept that they included s tricycle where many of the drivers in manila work hard and despite the hindrances of life, they still smile. That whatever comes in life, there's a light like the city lights that will glow the city of manila. Which group is it? Congratulations FEU! They won SM gift certificate worth P15,000!

Other participants received P5,000 and all of them received certificates of participation.

A talented artist gave a performance as well that truly caught an attention of many, no other than Raphael Dela Cruz participant of Pilipinas Got Talent who performed light painting.
